During your stay here, as well as painting, you may enjoy a range of activities. With a wonderful climate and very little traffic, the beautiful Midi-Pyrénées offers you perfect conditions for walking and cycling ( we have bicycles available here). Our region has the added attraction of being without a motorway - and the air quality is wonderful! The unspoilt and mainly unsprayed countryside supports a wide variety of unusual birds, wild flowers and butterflies to delight all nature-lovers.

In August, there is an annual Jazz Festival in Marciac - previous stars include Wynton Marsalis, Nina Simone and Herbie Hancock Crowds throng the streets; cafés, art galleries and exotic street stalls appear. Ten days later they are gone for another year. Although we don't run painting holidays in August we do offer B&B/untutored art breaks.

In this deeply rural area, a popular weekly event is the colourful village market, where you can still experience the traditional way of life. Other activities include: golf ( www.pallanne.com ),  tennis, and horse-riding - if you're interested in any of these activities, we can provide more information.
